Known for its smooth movement, musical versatility, and creative partnership, West Coast Swing offers endless opportunities to explore connection, movement, and musical expression.
Throughout this workshop, Isaiah and Hannah will guide students through progressively challenging material, from essential fundamentals to more intricate patterns, musical interpretation, and partnering techniques. Each session offers an opportunity to revisit the foundations, strengthen technique, and discover new ways to bring greater confidence and versatility to your dancing.
2:00 PM | Intro — The Foundations
Explore the essential timing, patterns, connection, and movement that form the foundation of West Coast Swing. Whether you’re discovering the dance for the first time or revisiting the fundamentals, this session offers valuable tools for building stronger, more confident dancing.
3:00 PM | Level I — Building Your Skills
Expand your movement vocabulary with additional patterns, transitions, and partnering techniques. Develop greater control, smoother movement, musical awareness, and a deeper understanding of connection.
4:00 PM | Levels II & III — Expanding Your Dancing
Explore more intricate patterns, dynamic movement, musical interpretation, and the finer details of lead and follow. Challenge your coordination, strengthen your technique, and discover new possibilities within the dance.
5:00–6:00 PM | Guided Practice
Take what you’ve learned onto the dance floor! Enjoy an hour of guided practice with Isaiah and Hannah, where you can explore new patterns, ask questions, refine your technique, and become more comfortable applying your skills to social dancing.
Every level offers something worth learning. Students are encouraged to explore the sessions that interest them, revisit familiar material, and challenge themselves throughout the afternoon.
